Here' a list of the car that Toyota India is contemplating to launch in the next 12-18 months.
1. Toyota Vios
Toyota is testing this mid-sized sedan in India for several months and was expected to bring it to 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, but seems like, Toyota wants to keep things under wraps for a while. Upon its launch the Vios will take on the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Hyundai Verna.

Toyota India hasn't officially said anything about this, but the company made it clear that its focus is on bigger cars instead of mass-segment products. Two small cars that the company has already tried its luck with are Etios Sedan and Etios Liva hatchback, and both of them are struggling to lure buyers today. The new-generation of the Vios shares its styling with the Corolla and Camry, and features a similar front-fascia.

2. Toyota Etios Facelift
Toyota’s entry level sedan Etios is all set to undergo yet another facelift. Introduced in 2010, the sedan was built exquisitely for the Indian market and has undergone various mild facelifts over the years. This time around, Toyota India is expected to bestow cosmetic upgrades on the sedan. Caught undergoing test runs, the sedan is likely to receive a new grille, revised bumper in front and redesigned fog lamp housings. Cabin will reportedly get subtle updates such as a new digital instrument cluster, new upholstery and steering wheel.

Engine set-up of the Toyota Etios Facelift will remain unchanged featuring similar 1.5 litre petrol and 1.4 litre diesel units paired to a five-speed manual transmission. In the highly contested compact sedan segment, Etios has a number of rivals to compete with including Maruti Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Ford Figo Aspire.

3. Toyota Fortuner Facelift
Toyota’s muscular Fortuner is all set to get even better featuring aplenty tweaks both on and under the skin. Already available for sale in Australian market, the new generation model surpasses the preceding version in every aspect. Built on the modular Toyota New Generation Architect platform, the premium SUV looks sleeker, sportier and weighs much lighter.

On the outside, the SUV gets new twin-slat grille, reworked bumper, LED DRLs, 12 spoke alloy wheels and LED tail lamps. Interiors offer increased space and features like large touchscreen infotainment system display and four spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for audio and telephony etc are available Mechanically, the car is all new as it gets newly developed GD diesel engines including a 2.4 litre 2GD-FTV unit good for 148bhp and 400Nm and a 2.8 litre 1GD-FTV powertrain putting out 177bhp and 450Nm. Transmission choices may include either a six-speed manual or a six-speed auto box, while there will be an option for an AWD. In a bid to curb the price of the Upcoming Fortuner, Toyota India is looking at heavy localization of up to or beyond 80 percent.
